Gaynor is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who works alongside the GP’s 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Gaynor is able to do the contraceptive implants and she will be developing this service.Our highly trained Nurse Practitioners can treat a whole range of symptoms including:
Skin problems
Back pain
Child health
Gastroenterology – abdominal pain, reflux, vomiting, constipation
Respiratory problems
Eye / ENT problems
Minor injury
Female health
Dressings / wound care

About Sara
Sara is responsible for; treatment room, post-natal checks, health checks, cytology, travel vaccinations, children’s immunisations, wound care, ECGs, ear syringing, contraception, HRT, minor illness, diabetic management including insulin starts, chronic disease management including Asthma reviews, COPD reviews, spirometry, Hypertension reviews and CVD/CHD review, smoking cessation advice, testosterone/zoladex/prostap injections, B12, Ros/clip Removals and 24hr blood pressure monitoring. She is also responsible for – ring pessary insertion and removals, coil removals, medical student and student nurse training and mentorship. Nurse lead for safeguarding. Nurse lead for Infection. Non-medical prescriber, same day consultations and Minor ailments.

Heather manages the overall running of the practice. Heather is responsible for financial management and general enquiries. If you would like to speak to her directly, please call the surgery.

Maya provides assistant practice management and secretarial duties throughout the practice and she is responsible for referral letters to secondary care. If you have any queries regarding referrals or hospital appointments, please call the surgery and ask for Maya who will be able to assist you.
Reception
Our fully trained receptionists are here to help you and assist any queries you may have. They are responsible for dealing with appointments, prescriptions and carrying out doctors requests. Please respect that as instructed by the GP, our receptionists will often inquire about the nature of your problem to ensure you receive the best care and are booked in with the correct clinician.
We would appreciate your cooperation in helping them to do this. In line with our zero tolerance policy, if you are found to be abusive towards members of staff then appropriate action will be taken.

Rina is the practice pharmacist who works with us on a Tuesday.
Community Nurses
District Nurses are fully qualified nurses who provide nursing care in the community. They liaise closely with the GPs to ensure continuity of care. They also liaise with the hospitals to continue care after discharge.
Health Visitors
A health visitor is a fully qualified nurse who has had extra training in caring for people in the community. Her role is to help families especially those with very young children.
The health visitor will visit the patient at home sometime after your baby is 10 days old. She will give information on feeding, general health and safety, offer advice and support if you have any problems and continue to look after your child until he/she is 5 years old.
She will visit you at home and will also be available at the surgery weekly. She will attend the surgery for Health Checks, liaising with the GPs.

About Will
Will is a First Contact Physiotherapist who is at the practice on a Monday morning. His appointments are pre-bookable. Will is able to triage, assess and diagnose musculoskeletal problems. Will is able to administer exercise & injection therapy and refer onto secondary care for further treatment.
